Curt Johnson Electric was founded in 1993 by owner and president, Curt Johnson.   After successful careers as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force and as V.P. of Data Processing at a regional transportation company, Curt decided to start his own business, one where he could utilize his past business and leadership experience but also satisfy his love of a hands-on approach to work.  Electrical contracting fit the bill perfectly.  Leaving the comfort of a stable career, Curt began a two-year training period as an apprentice electrician.  After attaining his Master Electrician’s License in 1993, Curt set out on his own and Curt Johnson Electric was born.

 

By 1997, the fledgling business had grown and Curt found himself in need of assistance, both in the office and in the field.  His son, Branden, then a recent graduate of Georgia State University, jumped at the chance to work with his father and to learn the electrical trade.  And so the father and son team was complete.

 

Over the years, Curt Johnson Electric has had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of settings, from rustic mountain cabins in North Georgia to sprawling coastal estates in the exclusive Cumberland Harbour development near St. Mary’s, GA.  We have also worked for many corporations such as Hormel, Honey Baked Ham, Ciba-Vision, and The State Farmer’s Market.  

 

Our main focus, however, has been on servicing the electrical needs of homeowners in the greater Atlanta area.  Through our association with many of the finest builders and general contractors in Atlanta, we have garnered vast experience and are equally at ease with new construction, remodeling, and service work.  We are proud of the quality of our work and we strive every day to satisfy our customers with this quality.  We hope to have the opportunity to serve you.
